PleasureLand Theme Park is the previous name of New Pleasureland, an amusement park that is located in the town of Southport, Merseyside in England. The first park started operations in 1912. It was the sister amusement park of Blackpool Pleasure Beach.
PleasureLand Theme Park included a number of historical rides like the Cyclone wooden roller coaster. One of the park's other unique features was the Funhouse, with the Wheel and Social Mixer. When the old Pleasureland closed, some of these rides where put into storage while others were simply dismantled.
The PleasureLand Theme Park reopened in 2008. Southport seafront was developed as the site for the park, in Marine Drive. The park is open daily, except at Christmas and New Year, and serves as a place for action and fun for people of all ages. During summer, a Big Top Circus is added. Some of the new rides include Indy's Lost World—The Ride, a themed indoor roller coaster that is based on the latest instalment of Indiana Jones.
There are many other notable rides in the park, which includes the TRAUMAtizer, a suspended roller coaster, Lucozade Space Shot, the classic Cyclone roller coaster, the Ghost Train, Chewi's Log Chute, Rock N' Roll Express, Speed buzz, Dodgems, Ski Jump, Super Satellite, Convoy, Haunted Inn, and 100 other rides and attractions.
